Imagine your Korea

Land of the Rising Sun, take a holiday in a tranquil place, chilly breeze, and experience the spring time.

Busan. South Korea is my dream place that I thought I cannot visit it once in my life time but god gave me a chance to fly and see the magnificence of that place.

I found myself for a month and felt the cold zephyr when it touches me. I saw pale people walking down the streets, in coast, in traditional market, malls and even in our apartment because my uncle is a pure Korean and they tutor middle school students every day.

The foods are awesome and delicious or in Korean word “DAEBAK and MAS-ISSNEUN” because of the taste, texture, appearance. They’ve served me best and gave me a exceptional treatment because I am a foreigner. My favorite food there is the “TTEOKBOKKI” or the stir-fried rice cake. Every morning my auntie prepares our breakfast because I don’t know how to cook Korean food, all I can do is to boil water and cook ramen. I experienced eating live octopus and fish, and it tastes good. KIMBAP is my favorite food also because I can it this while watching movies in my room, and while I am in our car travelling somewhere. It is Korean dish made from cooked rice and other ingredients that are rolled in gim—dried sheets of nori seaweed—and served in bite-sized slices.

Everyday we go to somewhere to relax to make my vacation worth it, my family and I went to the Haeundae Beach, Haedong Yonggungsa, Taejongdae and a lot more including their traditional markets. In the half of my vacation in Busan, I was surprised because my uncle deciced to go to Seoul, the capital of South, Korea. I was so blessed at that time and glad because my vacation made be more enjoyable. Seoul City is that good because Entertainments are everywhere, the tall buildings are made me small, artists are walking with me and handsome boys “Oppas” made my heart boom. We checked-in in a expensive hotel, and I don’t know why. I met my uncle’s relatives in the evening in a Korean Restaurant and ate Samgyeopsal. We talked, laugh and make our conversation comfortable. I am happy to the little young boy who always wanted to walk with me and I found it cute, we walked around the city and enjoyed the magic of the city lights. Night markets are remarkable and fish cakes are awesome too, I enjoyed eating, walk, and eat again. We went to the Namsan Tower, Myeongdo Cathedral, Han River and their markets after that night.

In my own opinion Busan is more beautiful and tranquil the Seoul because it has a lot of beaches, mountains and the weather there is more relaxing.

I found my friends there and I’ve met Seo-yoon who is cheerful and lively, we shared happy moments and we have the same idols. Thanks to my Auntie Jen & Uncle Won Bum for inviting me and provide what our need in our stay. I enjoyed a lot and I hope someday or next year, they will invite me again because I miss them so much.

Try to visit Busan, South Korea and feel what I felt, eat what I ate, see what I saw, and enjoy like I did.
